The Victorian Carousel was a welcome addition this year and in keeping with our recent topic. Many happy faces could be seen circling round on the playground! A huge thank you to Oakland International for funding this for us.
We wish you all a peaceful and relaxing Christmas.
Books At Bedtime
It was wonderful to see so many of you at our 'Books At Bedtime' event. Many thanks to all who attended to listen to bedtime stories and take part in book related activities in their pyjamas. We hope you are impressed with our fantastic new library!
Beoley Bee Musical
Every pupil had an opportunity to shine in our whole school production.
Huge congratulations to our choir! You all sang beautifully and defied the elements, bringing sunshine to the start of the festival. Your commitment is very much appreciated. Well done.
Ogden Physics and Science Fair
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Birmingham University. Our six Science Fair winners had the opportunity to view other children’s projects while their own work was judged. The children discussed their findings with students and lecturers and made us extremely proud.
Our pupils were treated to a physics lesson on ‘hot and cold’ in which various items were placed in liquid nitrogen. We were amazed to discover that it was minus 196 degrees! It made a rubber hose stop bending, froze some lilac and deflated a balloon which then reinflated!
Did you know that atoms are so small you can fit ten million on a pin head!
Beoley Book Day
Beoley Book Day was a great success! Pictured are just some of the fabulous potato characters that were created by our inventive pupils! See who you can spot.
Children were able to choose two stories to listen to this afternoon. These were read by various staff members and lots of interesting discussions ensued.
Thank you to all who were able to support our Charitable Christmas. We are proud the Beoley First School is able to demonstrate such positive social awareness. With your support we raised £252. On our first newsletter in January we will attach details of our purchases - see the screenshots on this page to see we were able to buy 2 lots of safe water kits, 2 education for a child donations and some wonder worms!
